At the WM Sobey Indoor Sports Complex, we take pride in offering a variety of recreational activities and community events for the local community. Our 200 x 100 indoor turf field creates an ideal setting for sports training, competitions, and even indoor tennis, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Our weekly Fall Flea Market operates annually every Sunday at the Complex from Mid October until Christmas
Doors open from 8am to 12pm, $2 entry fee, tables are $10.

We run Bingo at the Complex 2 nights a week all year round. Games are played Monday and Wednesday evenings, with doors opening at 6pm each night and games finishing by 10pm.
We play a variety of games, including tear open tickets. Game prizes range from fixed prize amounts from $150 to $600, 50/50 pots, and a guaranteed $1000 game.
We offer FREE community walking twice a day almost every weekday for an hour - 9am and 12pm.
Walking runs from early October to April-May (depending on arrival of spring). All you need to bring along is a clean pair of sneakers!
Our Squash Club features an international sized glass backed court, a viewing area, separate men's and women's change rooms with showers and a public washroom. There is also a private 24/7 access system for our club members (based on membership type).
Our Indoor Tennis courts are set up twice a week in the fall-winter months. This is a 'drop-in' program where you pay each week or purchase punch cards to sabe a few dollars.
We have several golf driving mats, and sell buckets of balls or punch cards. We also have some 'targets ' on our back wall that can help improve your accuracy. Come by and work on your swing before the summer golf season!
In partnership with Bounce Around Inflatables our Saturday daytimes are reserved for holding individual parties - birthdays, sports teams, or any group looking for a fun time on Inflatables. We also offer Laser Tag.
Our parties include time on the field followed by time in another area of the complex to celebrate (open gifts, have cake-ice cream, or bring your own food).

Saturday evenings are when we run our Family Fun Night at the Complex. A wide variety of Inflatables are setup, areas to play sports like hockey, basketball, batting cages, and a dedicated 'Toddlers area' for the very young. We also have face painting and on special occasions offer treat bags for attendees (Halloween, Christmas, Easter).

As a soccer organization one of our primary sports activities is indoor soccer.
This ranges from recreational programs for our youth, competitive teams who train and play in the NSSL league, training programs for our regional U13 groups that attend Soccer NS ID events, and adult Co-Ed weekly soccer.
The Pictou County Track and Field club spend their winters training at the Complex. The artificial turf field provides the club with an ideal environment to trains their athletes in a variety of track events.
The local high school (NRHS and NNEC) boys and girls rugby teams have been training at the complex for several years in preparation for their spring league play. We also host sessions for Rugby Nova Scotia and Pictou County Rugby.
Numerous baseball groups move into the complex at the end of the outdoor season to spend the winter working on skill development, Batting cages provide an extra training tool to hone their batting skills.
We have also run indoor ball leagues playing a game with a different twist!.
Pictou County Ultimate have been a long time tenant at the complex. Ultimate frisbee (officially simply called ultimate) is a non-contact team sport played with a disc flung by hand and has been around since 1968. The Club runs a weekly league along with 2 annual tournaments.
